I ended up buying some red wing work shoes from a lil mom and pop work shoe store in morris plains. They were 130 dollars but the quality is top notch. All leather, inside and out, aluminum toe, low top, light as hell, no break in required, extra cushioning in the heel, soles dont slip EVEN on coolant! I'm sold on Red Wing at this point. They were expensive but now I know why.

OP, the one's you ordered look durable as hell man and will probably serve you well when winter rolls around.
When winter rolls around and we have bad weather where I can't wear a pair of my skate shoes, I'm in these, the all black pair. Bought them before that record breaking blizzard we had out here this past winter and wow, they are just unbelievably comfortable and durable. I wore them through most of the blizzard and they still look like they just came out of the box.
I was pretty weary at first about dropping that kind of money on a pair of boots from Nike but am more than satisfied with these. Not sure how they fit for you guy's with bigger feet though, I'm a 8.5-9 and they were a little too snug at first but once I started walking in them more they started to settle in nicely.

Ok I think it is High time i report on the comfort ect of these bad boys! working 2 jobs there are days I am in them for 17+ hours. No back, knee, ankle,or foot pain, which is a blessing seeing that I am not a small man. they are extremely comfortable and they do have a bit of insulation with the waterproof "bootie" that is built in that bootie pulls double duty by wicking away moisture and keeping water out. so no sweaty ,cold, wet feet.I told the wife that I may have to order another pair so I will have them when these wear out when the wear out a few years from now lol. Now to order the poly pros!
