Yes. It kills a dealerships profitability when a car sits on the lot too long, They'd rather take a smaller profit and move the car than make no profit and have the car take up lot space. They have overhead. And while a waiting for a car to sell at a higher price gives them a bigger profit margin it doesnt pay the bills. Thats why smaller dealerships especially feel the pressure to move cars because they dont have the quantity of sales as a larger dealership. Big dealerships can play the waiting game a little longer because their quantity of sales is so much larger.

we only keep cars for 90 days before they go to auction so don't wait too long.

Thanks Sac. and Cutlass thanks for the info. So anything over 90 days gets thrown to an auction, will they lose money at the auction? I offered $9,995 and they took it! I am going to test drive it tomr, and go inspect it.

Might be to late but if you love it, it doesn't matter. Best thing to do is look up trade in or wholesale value (I use usaa.com) because they didn't pay a penny more at auction or trade-in than that, and offer them a few hundred more. I would also research the lifetime drivetrain warranty, personaly I have never heard of such a thing but if its valid nice score.
