True. I stand corrected. I wouldn't put it in my lawnmower either. Pour it down fireant beds.

SOPUS in Houston tells me they have it now. So I am going by there in a couple of weeks and picking up a few quarts for VOA's.

I use it from time to time. All you need is 2 stroke oil that is TC-W3 rated and your good to go.

Hey Sarge im going to be switching my 04 cobra over to amsoil soon. My car is running about 15 PSI of boost so it runs HOT. What version of the Amsoil would be best for me, the racing version or the basic 0-30W Synthetic? And how often should i change it?

Do you have any water/meth injection?
As for any proposed OCI's ( Oil Change Intervals) we must check the condition of the oil during the intervals with Used Oil Analysis to see how your particular oil is holding up.
I love me some Cobra's...had more than a few over the years...lot of fun/easy to mod.
Doesn't the manual call for a 5-20 weight in that motor? In any FI car I am sensitive to the fuel dilution and like a higher TBN and HT/HS. I think the SSO 0-30 would be a candidate.

2.76 pulley with a stage 3 port. Im currently running the PP, just stepped up to the 10-30 to combat the added heat of the blower. I change my oil every 2,000 miles but it just doesnt seem to hold up. Supposedly the call for a 5-20 weight is solely to help Ford meet CAFE standards across the board, the previous years call for a 5-30 weight (according to Amsoils website). No water or meth injection. Ive read great things about the SSO 0-30W from your posts before so i will give it a try.

Yes, I’ve talked with some high up in the oil industry who believe protection is taking a back seat in the name of fuel economy and reduced emissions with the new CAFÉ standards.
The only way to really prove that is getting some Used Oil Analysis reports done.
But if you can get away with having low wear materials with a 20-grade motor oil, I’d stick with it. If not, jump up to 30-grade and retest.

OAI
If you go through Oil Analyzers, Inc. a UOA kit cost $22.45 Retail or 17.95 Amsoil Preferred Customer cost.

Ya its a Stage 3 port, the original owner had it done though. Bumped the power up to 500 at the wheels though, not bad at all.
