    No, not mad.

But this does lead me to believe you've never had one.

If the dealer didn't give me $11k in trade on a 9 yo car with 50,xxx miles on it I'd still have mine.

I've never owned a Vert and won't. I have ridden in various vert cars and can't stand them, just not my cup of tea. I don't really care how they look either so its a lose/lose IMHO. Plus they weigh more which is another turn off to me. I just wanted to get a rise out of the vert guys

Its pretty much a BS idea to get us all worked up. NOBODY would actually do this until maybe 50 years from now when 'Pimp My Ride' get a rusty ass, craptastic vert that a 19 year old kid wishes had T-tops..."Like the good ol' days."

    IMHO, vert > T-top.

And both of my LS1 cars are T-tops...
    67 Camaro: K-K + 797-z (look it up), 454/Th400/4.10 12-bolt = 6mpg, PS/PDB/PW tilt, tach, gauges...

2005 Corvette LS2/M6 Magnetic Red Metallic (What else would it be?) w/ Cashmere interior

    2002 Z28: NBM/Tan, MTI smooth lid, smooth bellows, !AIR, !cats, 1-3/4" QTP SS LT's, 2-1/2" TD's with X-pipe, MagnaFlows dumped at axle, custom welded SFC's, MidWest Chassis body mount adjustable T/A, 3400 stall, 3.23 gears (was 2.73). Tuned: 343rwhp/357rwt (before TD's). Best: 12.559 @ 108+, 1.73 60' @ 3500' DA w/MT ET Street DR's.

I'm with ya Jim, I have both a T-top and a Vert sitting here.

Can't stand that stupid T-top idea. I never take the things out, pain in the ass, can't leave the car and lock it without putting them back in everytime I stop somewhere. Much easier to push a button

    It's either a Vert,,,or a solid roof,,,or forget it.

It takes me less than 30 seconds to put mine in IF I want to put them in.

Don't see how pushing a button is THAT much different. By the time your car takes to get the top up, my T-tops are already in and locked.

IMHO, T-tops do not compare (doesn't even come close really) to top down driving...

I got t-tops because I hate how verts look with the top up.

    Personal preference I guess.

Not from my experience having both versions of the car sitting here.

Not to mention the inconvenience, open the hatch, pull the T-tops out of the back, stick them in, lock them with the keys etc....
Then to come back ouf the store and go through the whole mess again?? No thanks,,,,I'll take the button option . Then there is the fact that when carrying the T-tops around in the back of the car in their locked position pretty much renders that area useless for anything you might pickup at the store.

I just have no use for the silly things. Dumbist idea GM ever came up with, I've hated them since they put them on vettes in 68.

I've got a T-Top car because after my wife totalled her vert it's the only decent 4th gen I could find forsale. Didn't buy it for the roof, that's for sure.

    Verts look like ass..

Going down the road with the vert top all puffed up, can be cut open with any sharp object, noisy inside weather it's up or down..

Let's not forget GM putting a tan top on blue f-bodies FTL..

    Verts look like a slipper..

Nowhere to go but out or smashed in a roll over.. (poll volting @ highway speeds does'nt seem appealing)

A flipped over vert = closed casket..

If you want all that open air, buy a motorcycle.. Way coolest..

I'll beg to differ on that one. My vert with the top up is actually much quieter inside than my T-top car. Both have the same exhaust system as well.
The advantage,,,the vert is completely closed off from the trunk area.
The T-top car is open back there, and you get alot of road noise from the rear that transfers right up into the passenger compartment. My neighbor even noticed it right away the first time he rode in the vert, since we usually take the T-top car.

And you think a motorcycle is safer?? I could die tomorrow walking accross the street. I don't worry about it
