Finally got the right parts ordered to complete the hose swap. What a PITA this job has turned into!

Got the passengers side done. Had to massage the p-side floor a bit for adequate clearance for the collector flange. No big deal. Will tackle the drivers side and exhaust tomorrow.

Buttoning up what I can on the Suburban until the next batch of parts arrives. Got the wheels off it to check the brakes now in prep for an inspection next week.


How far from the top of my exhaust tip should the plastic bumper cover be? I already bent the hanger bracket on the Magnaflow tip to gain some more clearance as it was almost touching when I first installed it. Have maybe 1/2" to 3/4" of clearance right now and I am thinking that is still too close.

3/4 is about as close as I'd want it to be. I'd try and get some more out of it.

Headers are done. Fighting with this exhaust system now.

Exhaust is 90% done. Need to finish test fitting everything, cut the collector extentions down to size and clamp most of it up...then cut off the tailpipes, install the adapter elbows and get the splitters mounted.

Will probably swap out the SFC's on the Trans Am tomorrow.
