They need to be replaced as a set. That O2 will only get worse, as will your gas mileage and a perceptible feel in the way the car runs at part throttle. Keep them swapped out every 40K miles, 20K with headers to retain good mileage.

Fix the O2s before you buy a mail order tune. They are the feedback instrument used for most all of your car's fueling. Only the front 2 matter (bank X sensor 1, if the code is for bank X sensor 2, it's a rear), the rear 2 check on the cats only.
Yes EGR failure is from you having the EGR removed and can be tuned out.

I sure will fix the o2 problem, as far as removing and replacing the bad one are they easy to get to and easy to replace. any pointers when replacing an o2 sensor...or pix of where they are actually located...and which one is bad on mine? (P0155- o2 heater circuit, bank2 sensor 1)

Passenger side is Bank 2.
Front sensor. Not the after cat.

They are basicly right in front of the cat.
Not easy to get too. PB blaster may come in handy.
And I can't recall the size of the wrench needed.
I don't have any pics though. And I am having trouble remembering exactly the location with the stock manifolds in place.

I haven't worked on a car that had manifolds on it in forever, but they are in the actual manifold.
They *NEED* to be replaced as a set, not just one of them.

Wouldn't have manifolds if it wasn't for stupid California emissions
i will replace them as a set, what is the signifigance of that? Just curious. and a set you mean the front and rear one on the passenger side........on a side note those things aren't cheap at autozon $80.00 a piece!!!

no, like I said, only the front ones "matter", they are used for fueling. The rear O2s are for cat monitoring, screw them.
Need to change them as a set because O2s rarely fail, they just begin to wander out of tolerance and get lazy over time. They take your MPG with them when they wander off...
