Black- 1999 Camaro Z28
My parents have a 07 Altima. They get awesome gas mileage out of it, huge trunk space, great ride, I wish I had one to DD.

Blackety Black- 35th Anniversary SS
yea man i would def. check out the new malibus. You can get the LTZ for 26k. It has the tiptronic style shifters on the steering wheel, 18's, dual exhaust, 6 disc changer, heated leather. The list goes on. Go to chevy's website and check them out...

with the 2 choices being between the accord and the altima and both cars are the same price. go with the accord. honda interiors are much better and imo honda 4cyl ivtec engine is better then the qr25de in the altima. i used to work as a nissan tech if this helps. if u like a trans that shifts you'll hate a cvt as well.

You could go to this website and see any recalls or complaints on any car.
http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/recalls/recallsearch.cfm
Although it doesnt have 2008 it lists recalls and tsb for all.

good luck w/ finding a NEW s60r for 25k, but if u decide to go used....u can easily grab one for that price. i was looking into them myself and only read about a problem w/ a sticky shifter in the 02's(maybe it was 03, it's been awhile). but, since u seem adiment on a new altima, get the 6spd.
i'm looking for something in a family-sized sedan, although i may be leaning toward a possibly trouble-some mazdaspeed 6. it's the last year for them and since they have become harder to sell(or sell from the get go), most dealers are offering some decent incentives to move them off the lots. i'm on a mazda board and there are a few probs w/ the turbo and awd system.
have u thought about the altima se-r. i've seen them go for around 18k-21k and w/ decent mileage. again though, it would be a used vehicle.
i had a honda once and it bored the shit out of me. literally. i would get in the car and no more than a few minutes into my drive i would shit myself out of pure boredom. they are however, great all around cars.....minus the fun factor.
push button start and 6spd......go get the altima and disregard my early in the a.m. rabble.

Black as Wesley Snipes- 09 Mazda 3, 12 Z1000
I had a Altima for a take home work car, and its not bad. I wouldn't buy one though. The gas mileage was rather disapointing and the AC seemed weak sauce. Keep in mind I was living in Atlanta GA at the time and its like 2 thousand degrees at night time so AC is important lol

the Altimas are EPA rated with better MPG than the Accord. We are going today to check one out and if we like it we are getting it. My wife has a jeep grand cherokee and about a 50 mile round trip to work. and that thing sucks with gas milage

Oh and speaking of accord, my friend has one thats a few years old and I had it for about 2 weeks once, I swear I put gas in it one time. It was boring as hell, but any car that has 100hp and is a automatic is going to be

If you don't like the styling of the Malibu, check out the Saturn Aura. Same platform and motors, same raving reviews, but different style.

Lets put it this way. My parents drove from Orlando, Fl to Gulfport Mississippi and only had to fill up once. Not sure exactly how far or how many MPG I'll ask them when I see them next.

I like the new Altimas!! My brother had one as a rental a couple weeks ago, the 2.5S & that thing scooted for a 4 cyl! I think I would go w/ the Nissan over the Honda, I have always liked them! In fact when I buy my new car, I am looking at the Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima or the Honda Accord. I would really like to get a Pontiac G8, but I think they are going to be a little pricy when they first come out!

well we drove the Altima, and I gotta say that I was kinda disapointed in it the Accord is a nicer ride. But we did make a purchase, as was suggested earlier we picked up a 06 Volvo S60 with 25k miles, leather seats, sunroof, and power driver and passenger seats for $3500 less than the new Altima. That S60 is a sweet ass car. after we drove that we said ok forget the Altima we'll take it lol.
