I took a Hyundai in for service years ago. It was covered 10 yr powertrain and 5 year bumper to bumper.

My wiper wasn't moving so I took it in. Turns out the bolt was loose.

It had about 14k miles on it. They said tightening of bolts are only for 1 year or 12k miles.

They tried to charge me for the whole visit. I made a huge stink. (not literally) And said that F'ing bolt is placed between the bumpers and by GOD they will cover it.

I went as far to argue-- If all the bolts on the car where loose and the damn car rattled apart, let me guess it wouldn't be covered? because it was 2k miles over 12k.

I told them Wipers was a huge safety issue. If i got caught in the snow, or rain and I had no way to see the road and subsequently I wreck and I die, all because they built such a shitty product that the wipers stopped working after 14k miles. Then wouldn't the public love to know that the new car I just bought was refused to be fixed under warranty.

    I was mad!

Long story short-- they covered it.

I swore I would never buy another Hyundai. Years later, I bought another one. lol ---- They have such horrible resale values and I love to trade in.. When will I ever learn . lol

I took my idea from 05 GTO's manual that states you have to check your engine oil level at EVERY fill up.

People don't keep their vehicles that long anymore... not many people who can afford a new car will still be driving that car in 5-10 years. Good marketing, will be nice to know on my new challenger

chrysler makes some appealing cars, it just seems like they take a shit in very weird areas (not literally of course). my dad has gone through like two transmission computers or whatever the fuck they have and has had the radio and the ignition fuck up simoultaneously and has had the hazard lights randomly go off...

i wont touch a chrysler product...theyre possessed. they run off joo joo beans from the louisiana bayou and smelted nazi gustapo badges.

cant chance my sanity or safety.

but the lifetime warranty sounds great!

I bet that along with the warranty you have to be on time every time for all of the recommended maintenance for the vehicle. And on top of that all of that maintenance must be done at a dodge dealership. So you will be paying dealer prices each time you get it lubed up. Will this warranty even allow you to change your oil? If you are not a chrysler tech, then you may change the oil incorrectly(according to the dealership) then the vehicle will not be covered if a part fails. I wouldn't judge this warranty until all of the find print is comprehended.

This is a good new offering and I hope the 'big three' all follow the leader and give this warrenty as well.

This could help me control modding the hell out of the new 5th gen 'vert I plan to purchase.

I really want to have this one as a street car and not turn it into another race car!

Thats BS its not offered on the Cummins, they need a warranty to cover the rest of the truck that falls apart around the Cummins engine. Oh well, I don't have 50k to spend on a truck anyways. I'll stick with my 96 Cummins, aka 600ft lbs of torque and 36 lbs of boost. =) Dodge's best move ever, Signing a deal with Cummins.

Sounds like a good idea tho, I'd think it'd boost sales quite a bit.

Dont think Dodge would do it if they planned on losing money on it. At 25,000miles you prolly have to have the fuel injectors "serviced" for about $450 and so on.
