Start inquiring as to who the best pediatricians are in your area. They work for you. If your existing pair don't understand the problem, they should be making referrals and expediting your appointments. It sounds like they do not fully comprehend the fact that if they do not know what the problem is, that time may be important in resolving the problem.
I began a personal swelling issue back when I was in college. my feet were swelling up for no apparent reason. Then my hands would swell... Then I would get hives.... None of my doctors could figure it out and they all said it wasn't anything critical.
One night my throat swelled up and I found myself in the ER because I couldn't breathe... Not critical my azz!
Most likely it is just a pattern or growth or something that that can be treated or will just go away as you say your baby is otherwise healthy and has no pain, but as parents you must be stressed beyond belief.
Document everything. Follow through on everything. You can try some of the online pediatrics care message boards and look for issues that may be similiar in their symptoms. However I caution you that many of the people who post on those message boards are paranoid and they all try to be doctors after sleeping at a Holiday Inn Express... Take everything with a grain of salt. What these message boards are typically good for however is finding the best doctors in your area for dealing with issues like this.
If you can find a good doctor, get a referral from your current pediatrician to speed up the process of getting an appointment.
We are all afraid of the unknown when it comes to health isues, especially in a young child, but the unknown is not by definition something to be afraid of. It is simply unknown, which is why you need a doctor to determine what is going on with your baby's foot.2002 Street ET Champion New England Dragway

Hey Luos, My wife looked at the pics, She wanted to know if the Orthopedic Dr. you saw specialized in children? Also is there a good childrens hospital nearby? She also said that the Genetics Dr. should be able to answer the syndrome question. She said to be persistant and let the Doctors know you are very worried about your daughters foot getting worse while waiting to be diagnosed. I hope this helps in some way and God Bless you'all. Jimmy

Thanks.
Yes, the orthopedic was at the Denver Children's Hospital.
I am taking her to my doctor (family provider) tomorrow morning. It is my appointment, but he can at least check her out a bit and give some new ideas.
Thanks for the kind words and help. Just tough waiting is all.
We just want an answer one way or the other.

August 10th wtf are you kinding me. Now if the worst case is cancer(which i'm sure it's not) but if that is at all a possibility don't you think this poor kid should be seeing someone before august 10th? That just kills me that a doctor would bring that up and then tell you someone can't see your kid till august.
I think your doing everthing you can. Just keep pushing untill you get some answers.

The peditrician gave us the referral. The delay isn't on him, but on the specialists office. Our pedi actually called and forced us in this month.
Okay...just got back from my doctor.
He re-assured me to be patient and stick with it. Basicly said the geneticist is the way to go. Checked the length of the legs, looked good.
Basicly told me that so much goes on with the forming of a human that something this little happens once in a while. He hadn't ever seen it, but he isn't a pedi either.
Told me that she looked good and that he would keep her.

Wow, I really hope the doctors get this sorted out soon. It's hopefully nothing serious, it's just the not knowing that makes you start to wonder. Keep at the doctors. And I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts

Thanks.
If it gets worse before the April 25th appointment, we may just take her to the Children's Hospital ER here in Denver.

Sounds like it.
I know the Children's Hospitals are all on the same network. I am sure if it comes down to it, we can have a specialist fly into Denver.
