I forgot to mention...I got the car painted at MAACO in Newnan, Ga. They did an amazing job. It was their better paint package. They did some minor repair work on the back bumper and installed a new hood before sanding, priming, painting, etc. I chose to change the paint color (and they can paint just about any factory color including pearls and metallics) and they sprayed 3 coats of base before 2 coats of clear. No runs, sags or orange peel. 5 year warranty. Cost including repair work was $1009.34. Sold! I heard and read all the MAACO horror stories but felt more comfortable talking to the owner after seeing that his personal ride was a 2001 Trans Am that they painted. Looked great.

Thanks! And I noticed after taking the pictures that the rims were filthy. It looks even better with them polished up now.

It depends on what Maaco you go to. I've heard the same horror stories but I've also heard the good experiances too. The color looks awsome. You just need to lower the thing and a nice set of wheels and it'll be perfect!
