Where do you keep your pistol?

We're lucky in TX. Our registration is on our windshield. We do have to produce proof of insurance, however. I always get mine out and have it ready with my TX DL and TX CHL to hand over while they do their (what seems like eternity) thing in the car where I guess they're running the plates or whatever.

Knock on wood, I haven't been pulled over since I was 26. Hopefully, I can keep it going.

I would like to interject the following caveat though; Don't EVER store your sidearm near your registration (most often the glove box). I say that because if you are ever stopped and asked to produce a registration card, you do not want to be reaching in the same general area as a weapon when you do that. Just a bad situation overall.

Which is true, but if I get pulled I automatically put it on the dash before he walks up to the window so he has positive identification of the weapon, and will be able to control the situation better, plus so he doesnt shoot me lol.
