Supercharge or turbo?

If you skip 3/4 through that video, You can get a general idea how boost picks up with the p1sc. Mine is pullied for 12 lbs of boost at 6500 rpms.

Thats awesome!! nice truck. Is there a big difference in the P1 or D1?

For up to 12 lbs the P1 is good.

I believe the d1 is slightly more efficient due to a better impeller design.

At the time of my dyno, I was pushing out 380ish rwhp with a slipping transmission(which died a few weeks ago) and factory fuel pump which started to lean out at 5800 rpms.

Since replacing the fuel pump and maintaining a good a/f ratio, Its prob pushing around 400rwhp. Keep in mind, the numbers are low because this is a 4.8 lol.

I love the looks i get from it...

before i start it, people just look and go... oh, just a beat up chevy truck, i can stomp that in my 350z......

Then i turn it over... and all you hear is the supercharger whining, and the engine singing through the shorties, with true duels going into flowmaster 40s. It sound amazing. before i blew the tranny, it ran amazing.

I had a stang pull up beside me at 75 on the interstate one night....
After i gave him the go, he gunned it, and took off.
I matted it, it kicked down to 2nd, shoved my ass in the seat, and had 3 lengths on him by 110, his car sounded pretty nice too.

I thought about supercharging the LT1 in my transam instead, but, The thought of having my big ass truck smoke the transam... without having to replace the rear end... and everything else seemed funner. Besides, the 120k mile LT1 would not appreciate the boost like the 50k mile iron block LR4 in my truck.

Besides, my truck has creature comforts like comfortable seats, a upright seating position, and a 3000 watt navigation / system thing. And its fun as hell to drive, on road or off!!

Hey, your camaro is in a lot better condition then my damn transam.....

Damn transam is a pain in my ass to work on too. At least in my truck, i can just sit under the hood, haha.

If my t/a actually had the ls1, i would have supercharged or turbocharged it instead of the truck.

Go to Procharger's website. They have the specs of each so you can see the difference. I would post a link, but it would probably get removed.

Get the D-1SC 8-rib kit. You can upgrade it to the F1 when you're ready
