It needs to be repainted. It looks like it was partially sand-blasted. I'm sure it just happened over time. Probably lots of highway miles I'm guessing. It's weird because, like I said before the rest of the car is immaculate. I just can't get over the 97k miles.

Well you should get over the mileage. Mine has 107K last time I checked. I haven't had many problems and most people don't till you start doing big mods and break the tranny/rear. Usually the engine holds up. You plan on working on the car anyways right. Or you just going to drive it and let things go like 95% of Americans? It's a legit question, don't take it the wrong way.
Don't worry about the bumper. Either ask him to repaint it (professionally painted) Or pay a few hundred to have it done.
Bam...perfect car.

Yeah, I'll work on it a little here and there, Just don't want to have to make expensive repairs. Might offer him 10 tomorrow and get it painted myself. Who knows

Ok, so after further research I have decided that I don't want a car that is that close to 100k miles. I want you guys to tell me how much is reasonable to pay for this car:
1998 SS Camaro, 69k miles, blk/blk, excellent condition, 6-spd, pacesetter headers, magnaflow exhaust, slp lid, tuned, chrome SS wheels, basically new tires, no mechanical problems, runs and drives great.
Let me know how much you guys think!
Thanks

Yeah, thanks. I just don't wanna get screwed. I offered him $11k. My bet is that he rejects it. Thanks for being honest though. I need that. I've been out of the LS1 market for a few years so I'm not sure exactly how much they're worth. That's why it's great to have this forum. Thanks everyone.

I'm out here in Abilene just west of ya. Finishing school out here. I offered the guy 11 but he said the lowest he would go was 12. How come no one seems to want to sell me a car for what it's worth? I offered him $3k over book value and he rejected it. He's unemployed but he needs to get 12 for the Tahoe he wants and he has 2 kids and one on the way. Go figure. It's the world we live in these days.

Price for 99 Firehawk, loaded, excellent condition, 43k miles? Once again, sorry for all the questions.

Firehawks usually go for 1k-2k+ over a Trans Am WS6

OK, might be a smidge out of how much I wanna spend. I might just break down and settle for the SS. It's a really nice car, I just think I would be happier with a T/A. I'm tired of waiting and being on foot.

I agree with Allbaugh, 2 years ago i wanted an ss so bad i could tast it, everyone i looked at was either over priced or a piece of shit and i gave up and bought a jetta( yea i know girl car) but it did get me through high gas prices and no overtime, anyway i now have a 00 ta but not a WS6 and not a stick but the price was right and its not a jetta. Keep looking!
