I searched the threads and can't seem to come up with any information concerning this "V-tak" mod for the LS1... an extra 30 hp would be great!

Oh snap! You're serious -- I just caught Y2KPewterSS's thread over in the Camaro/SS section.

Back on track then: What is everyone utilizing for the smooth bellows that comes from a hardware store? Has to be a plumbing fixture of some sort is all I can figure. Does it look ok? The only reason I ask is that the "clocking" on my stock bellows sort of looks awkward. Even though it flexs, I put it where it fit the best so as not too put additional pressure on the new lid.

Fernco 3 x 3 pipe connector. Mine didnt work at all. it came up way too short... an MTI bellow cheap on tech works great though.

i used a 4" to 3" plumbing fitting that is rubber from the TB. then a piece of hard ABS plastic pipe (short), which connects to the lid with a rubber cuppling. it was pretty cheap and easy to find

Just type in "silicone coupler" in ebay and you will be able to choose from 1,157 different sizes and colors of smooth bellows for your intake!

Thanks for the additional info. This morning, I e-mailed GM Parts Direct an inquiry as to the MAF I ordered and this is what I received back:

    "Hello Jeffrey,

I apologize, we do not have access to the vehicle service information.
Part number 19207203 is correct for your vehicle per the information
    supplied.

    Thank you Jason,

    www.GmPartsDirect.com"

In the e-mail I resubmitted my vehicle info. The MAF sensor still seems to be working fine -- we went for another ride last night. Therefore, I'll just have to trust that it is calibrated for an LS1 and, as suggested in one of the member responses, that GM is simply consolidating their parts by offering a "one size fits all" MAF.

I think the 05/06 GTOs had that design. Interesting thread. Was there any paperwork with listings on vehicles your MAF is campatible with?

That's strange -- I tried other GM parts sites also and kept coming up with the same part number I ended up ordering.

Not a scrap of paperwork. Just the MAF and an adapter harness.

I'm thinkin it's a MAF for an LS2 with a retrofit kit for an LS1. GM seems to integrate/update parts for newer vehicles.

I forgot to mention that I ran across that same MAF (or simular) at work(GM dealership). The guy in the stall next door replaced a MAF on a Silhoutte van and it was that same looking MAF with the harness. Parts guys said it was the only one listed in the catalog. Weird.

That is interesting. Was not aware that they made an adapter harness to accomodate the integral IAT.
