Yesyou can. You can buy a gun from a guy that is walking around at a gun show and there is no need to do a background check or anything.

Right and that would be unregistered but not illegal. I'm really surprised the guy from Georgia isn't going to try for a class 3weapon since that state has more privately owned machine guns per capita in the nation. I'd be all over something inexpensive like a Mac or a short barreled rifle.

As far as I know if you own a Machine gun or short barrel you have those registered. AND you can not sell them without a transfer tax. Selling without transfering is illegal for the seller and the buyer.

Cheapest transferable SMG i can find is 4k. A registered M16 Lower can cost about 12k

If you want something cheap I would recommend a mosin nagant from military surplus. They run 70-100 bucks and military surplus ammo costs about 16 cents a shot.

I will never understand how so many Americans have no problem with this blatent attack on the constitution. The purpose of the 2nd ammendment was so we could overthrow the Goverment if the need ever arose. So the founding fathers wanted us to have the weapons needed to do that. They never wanted the militia to use bow and arrows when we fought the Brits. God the people in this country make me so mad sometimes

Thats a good deal. Here in texas the cheapest I've seen was close to $900. Just make sure that the reciever is CAST not molded. I think they are all cast now but you never know. Do you know what brand? Good ones are COLT ( no brainer) RRA ( Rock River Armes) and DPMS. Those are my faves and all good brands.

Good luck getting a DPMS, they are intergalactic backorder, like 60-70 thousand guns behind. They quit taking orders in fact.

OLY ARMs had lots of issues a couple years ago, but they've been resolved. I've had mine for 3 years with zero issues. It's hard to fault an AR-15 you can purchase for $499 (back then, now they're $700+).

For a budget shooter, I say look into OLY and don't judge (EDIT) based on past performance.

Don't know if this has been brought up in another thread, but there is also talk of taxing ammo 500 percent. So I figure when we get invaded we could all just throw stones and logs. At least we can all sleep comfortably knowing our government will be there to protect us. (yeah, right)

You guys need to do research on PREBAN. They just will stop making/selling grenade launcher equipped, bayonet lug equipped, folding stock, hi cap style weapons. We bought the most assualt weapons why this ban was implemented.

You can buy them legally all day long. THIS IS JUST GOING TO PREVENT MANUFACTURE OF THEM!
