My wife sells cars...
She sold a 4 wheel drive suv last week to a guy who traded in a front wheel drive car. His reasoning was winter is coming and he wanted to be safe...
Ok. No problem with winter and four wheel drive, but here is the rest...
He had crappy bald summer tires on his regular car (which was only a couple of years old and in great shape). He bitched about the poor gas mileage in the vehicle he was purchasing... My wife sugged to him that he might simply want to put four snow tires with studs on for the winter and see what happens... He said that snow tires won't help...
The guy drives 20 highway miles back and forth to work five days a week and lives in a housing development... It isn't like he is back roading or anything...2002 Street ET Champion New England Dragway

Pewter Metallic- 2002 Trans Am WS6 M6 D1SC
Seriously! WTF! People in our area have no idea what our cars are.
Ive noticed that people get out of my way when Im coming up on them in the T/A more so than any other car. Gotta admit the front of the 4th gens are pretty intimidating especially a WS6 or clone.
No one cars about your car unless they themselves own an f-body. I do get some respect from mustang GTs.
In this area if you dont drive some 100k Euro car its nothing to take a second look at.
Just wait till I get my LTs and cut out in.... Then I should have some good stories. As of now after 2 years, nothing really.

had a guy in a 6.0 GTO try to tell me and my brother (OMGLS1JZ) that he made 540whp with full exhaust, handheld tuner and a cold air intake, we almost threw up when he told us that. i told him i was prob around 300whp. raced him that night like 5 times and i pulled him about 1-2 cars, he has been avoiding me since then.
too bad he was gay like that, it was probably the nicest GTO in the tulsa, ok area.

I love being stupid with people who think they know shit.... then they are prob going to go to their honda site and say you wont believe the idiot i met driving a Trans Am...
Example.....
One of my new college buddies who tries to pretend he knows cars, he was riding with me for the first time, and was impressed.... I had cutouts closed and was babying it, he asked what size motor?
so i just said oh just a 3.8l four cylinder......
Yea my buddy had one just like this, same motor....
(Im trying not to laugh at this point)Oh? yea they move right along....
Yea you cant beat the torque of those 3.8s.....(Im bout in tears on the inside now) but it sounds good for a 3.8...
Yea I did a little exhaust work to it....
Like what?
Oh new muffler, new tips nothing major....
How long of tips?
What?
How long are your tips? the longer they are the better it echos giving it better sound....
Oh, they are telescoping, to change the sound i just hit this switch (dual cutouts)....
Whoa them really work....i was thinkin bout getting some for my focus......you cant beat the sound from high displacement motors....
At this point i bounced into 2nd and hammered it and was instantly sideways, so i let out and it snapped back....Yea lots of power....
Whoa to you got a cold Air kit?
Nah not yet, the V-tec just kicks in about then....
Yea v-tech will grab ya like that.....
At this point i changed the subject cuz wow this kid knew nothing....

Arctic White- 01 TA / 06 Duc 749D
A buddy of mine was helping me with my Impala and when I popped the hood he asked what size motor he was looking at?
me "it's a 327"
him "big block or small block?"
me "big block"
him "these big cars are real easy to fit a big block in it huh"
(I thought he was joking around with me up until he made that statement)
me " I had the engine mounts grinded down and put special heads on it"
him " cool, does that mean it's a big block?" (points at the camel hump stamp
me "yeah, that's how you can tell the difference, one hump means it's a small block and two......."
a little while after this point I went ahead and told him I was having fun with him and we popped a few cold ones and finished up the engine work I needed his help with in the irst place, (timing issues)

I worked with a kid (lube tech) at my last job that pulled a car out with no brake pads in the front calipers. That kid was beyond comprehension.
