I had a very similar problem with mine about 6 months ago. My suggestion would be to turn on you A/C to MAX and the Fan to MAX. if the sound goes away then it is you A/C clutch. Unfortunately that is what it was on mine. The clutches where out after a while and start to engage just a little bit making a chirping noise. This would be my guess especially if it is sporadic
