05-09. But the quality and interior was pretty shabby. Basically a caviler with a little upgrades. The chevy cruze is supposed to be 40-45mpg. It's on car and driver. Decent little car if your looking for a cheap car.

They are still going until 2010 models at the very least in the US...

And they are much, much more than just an upgraded cavalier. The SS's anyway, thats the only one I owned

Ahh, I tracked down the info on the Daewoo thing... the euro versions are going to be built in Daewoo plants overseas, but the US version will be built here...

The build quality and the interior are pretty much still shabby. Yes the ecotec motors in any of the cobalts are way better, but that's about it. Besides having a very good 2.0 turbo motor and handle good thats about all they got going for them.

Shabby?? Obviously you haven't been in one then. I wouldn't call it anything close to shabby, its standard fare for your average entry level car. Nothing about it screams cost cutting or cheap, its just a simple, relatively attractive, decent quality interior. The only thing that makes it look subpar is the new Civics, which raised the bar for interior quality in compact cars. As for design though, the Civic is ugly as sin, at least the Cobalt's interior looks nice.

Only been in one, one time and the interior to me seemed kinda cheap and lot's of plastic. Oh well to each is own.

Mostly european. And they took the basic styling cues from the new malibu...

Look at the interior... nothing korean looking in there at all.
