I bet they are most of the year. But summer heat and humidity kills the DA. Many people say to really know what your car runs. You must run it in the heat of summer.. Oh well... Some people will tell you a -DA E.T. and others will tell you their + DA E.T...

If it's the one I am thinking of, it's a 69. I saw that car run years ago at Island. Car was late for test/tune but when that car ran, it SCREAMED and almost bounced off both retaining walls. I think with all the fighting to keep the car straight, it ran a 9 second quarter. My friend and I looked at each other like

This car was shooting straight as an arrow, had one of those huge ass oval hood scoops(what do they call them?) up front, anti wheelie bars in the rear. Just launched like a bat out of hell and kept going straight. I

It was the only car there that would make everyone stop what they were doing and just look at the lane. Coupe of 8-9 second cars, along with an acura that kept running mid-high 14s.




This makes me want a rear more and more... there were no birds there representing! Actually.. there were no ls1 fbodies there period.

OK. This is a different one than the one I saw. The one I saw had a 4-port snorkel on top of a 6-71 blower which was bolted to a 502. But badass nonetheless about the car you saw.
