Probably a good idea. I don't remember ever putting any of our vehicles through a fundraiser car wash... no matter how good the washers looked!

I sent Sammie a text and asked her to swing by Autozone on the way home from work. I then texted her four (4) separate part numbers for 1/2" x 20 oil pan drain bolts that will work, and told her which ones I preferred.

She calls me from Autozone and tells me that they don't have any. I asked her if she gave the sales associate the part numbers and she said, "Yes, but they don't come up on the computer, it says 'Not Available'." When I looked up the part numbers, the website said that they were all in stock in the Mansfield store so I go down after she gets home and sure enough, I find three (3) of the four(4) part numbers on the shelf. I was pissed enough that I pulled the manager aside and informed him what fucktards he has for employees... idiots.
Had to get a battery for the Heep last week. Go to the Dover Advance and they bring up the battery. One of the it wit's coworkers comments on how dusty it was. Look down 7/12 date code. I look at the kid and ask 7/12 really? Hejust says yeah and continues ringing me up

Had to warm the area around the plug with my torch to finally get it out. Not a clue why it was so darn stuck.

Happens all the time to me at autozone...most of the people they hire know nothing or very little about cars. Some are good...but this past Friday, I walked in to buy a horn relay for my 1978 TA. Kid at parts counter says "nope, you are going to have to install a toggle switch like I did" . I said, just look it up ( I knew it was available)...sure enough it was there!
    Very frustrating....

Toggle switch? He must have thought that "relay" meant "horn button". What an idiot.

Everything inside the rear is looking good on our car. Swapped out the dino gear oil for some Amsoil this time.

I think it may be getting time to work on the Olds again. Just a couple of minor issues to iron out on the other cars now. Can't believe how quickly summer went by.

Yup, it kinda flew. Really really tempting to bring the bike instead of the car to the track, but I really need to make at least one pass in the car this year and see what the cam/intake/carb did for me. Next years test will be the gears and hopefully the heads.

Jaison? Where the heck have you been hiding?

Morning all. Shouldn't be too bad a week, except that the countdown to the track outing will make it go slow.
