somebody's?
I just get tired of people judging cops when they've never been in the situation they are in.
Then using the phrase "little girl" to describe a 15 year old skank in a stolen car.
You trade your little girl status in at your first gang bang or stolen car ride. After that's you're free game to be exploited by society and getting your face kicked in when you press your luck.

2 wrongs don't make a right. Girl deserves appropriate punishment for what she did and the officer deserves appropriate punishment for what he did, end of story.

Dolt? look whose talking
Why get so lathered up because I think that two adults, cops or not could have handled the situation better?
Judging? Ivory tower?
Get a grip. Just saying they handled it inappropriately and now they will most likely suffer the consequences.
Guess we'll have to wait and find out
And, apparently some little girls do ride around in stolen cars and deserve to go to jail for it too.

Look, I don't want to start making fun of you if you're "special," which seems to be the case...
But none of those quotes are calling her "mother theresa." Unless you meant a 15 year old mother theresa, in which case, they would share the same age... but that's about it.
"I can't believe there are people in here defending that POS cop!"
"She was complying with they're orders. She had a big mouth, who doesn't? No reason to beat the shit out of her. I have seen ADULTS get by with more then that and still not get beat down like that in jail."
etc.
I don't see any praise or compliments for her at all. Certainly nothing like you claimed.

I spent my first years in college at the University of New Haven, they have one of the best criminal justice programs in the state of Connecticut. I then finished college education at Southern Connecticut State University for Athletic Training. If your still reading your probably asking me "what is my point"? I've seen peers, my own age becoming Police officers, and working in a therapy clinic I see older officers in the area and there views. I Understand that It is a very difficult job. But, the older officers have a very different view point on the job, and the younger generation getting into law enforcement. I would say about 90% of people my own age in or getting in law enforcement, I would say have no business being in law enforcement. I cannot speak of issues in my area, because some situations I know of are not public knowledge, and regarding who the information gets back to. I know a lot of young officers, and many older officers, I wont get into details about situations, I can't. But, knowing what I know, and seeing what I've seen I feel that many people have the right to be very afraid of what officers are capable of when they "have a bad day". The last point I would like to make is that not all officers are capable of these atrocities. Like I said, I work with many officers that protect and serve the public, and do there job well. But, its situations like these that outrages the public. Regardless of whether or not this 15 year old girl deserved this beating, a grown man, a police officer did not have the right to give it to her.

What do you want me to say? That I am not a cop and I don't know what it feels like to be one?
Um, that's a given.
But, you make it seem as though I have no respect for the uniform and that makes you the one that is judging without merit.
You can't honestly say that this couldn't have been handled better. And, there are some cops out there that disgrace the badge and should not be cops at all. They make it tough for all the cops that out there doing their job.
I'm thinking that you are reading much more into my posts than is actually there. You seem to do that with me.

Welp, I know I'm gonna be flamed/banned for my response, but, what the hell. Coming from a police dispatcher mother, I have been around law enforcement since the age of four. Every cop who knows me has taught me about the law and how to address an L.E.O. And I have been taught that in law enforcement brutality is a BIG no-no. N FKIN O. Self defense ONLY when attacked physically(swung at by fist, or with a weapon). This day and age folks are getting WAY too out of hand physically. But, I have learned from the old school cops who don't have many, if any, black marks on their jacket. A 15 year old would be restrained. Even if an adult kicked their shoe at me I would let them cool off and ask what that was about and, if they got nasty, I would remind them of an assault charge to change their tune. I was raised to "return fire if fired upon" or react physically if aggression was taken against me initially. I have met cops who have told me stories about grown men who act like they are UFC material, but when they are at the business end of a .45 things DO change. There is no excuse for roughing up a suspect for swearing or kicking a shoe at an officer. NONE. This officer may have given up their pension. And in this current state, pensions are nothing to play with.
Carry on/flame away.

yadda yadda yadda it was a yes or no question. You can't answer it.
Shit is not up for interpritation.
And again, don't comment on "cop's jobs" when you don't have a ounce of comprehension what that entails.
See... you can't even help yourself. You're not an analyst for that matter either.

EXACTLY. Being in law enforcement is a PRIVELEDGE(sp) which can be revoked if necessary. People don't hink about this when they take their oaths. UPHOLD, PROTECT, ENFORCE...NOT BULLY.
My cop friends are very laid back, BUT if someone attempts to harm them, ALL BETS ARE OFF.
Being hit with a damn shoe would be the least of my worries if I were an L.E.O.

This situation I can but out there, I don't know the officer, and there was an article in a local paper around where I live. But, it was regarding an officer tasering an 15 year old unarmed boy resisting arrest in school.
I don't agree with this use of force, even non lethal, if your an officer and you can restrain a 15 year old boy, then pick another profession.
