I was at some street races one night and this kids a 5.0 a little built with a 100shot on it and he was talking all kinds of shit to this guy corey i know who has a high 10 second Grand National, he had no idea what a GN was. I cant believe anyone who has been around domestic racing doesnt know what that car is capable of. Also the cyclones were the most baller truck ever made. Friend adam has one with meth injection a all wheel drive turbo truck. I think those are my favorite production truck.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didnt the Grand National GNX run like 11's from the factory with just the exhaust unhooked ? I thought I read that somewhere...
So if thats even close to true.. GM beat the 03-04 Cobra with a v6 about 17 years before it came out ? <shrug> Food for thought. and that GN is one Bad Ass looking ride too.
Not saying the Cobra is ugly, I sorta like the look of it. But a multi-valve V8 versus a pushrod V6 ? and the V6 wins....yeah, tell me how great ford is again ?

Uh, well... They ran 13.9@100 bone stock. With a higher volume "hot wired" fuel pump, an adjustable waste gate actuater, and some race fuel/alky, the sky is the limit.

Not sure what z06 motor you have, but the port and polished TB can add like 10 hp and a good tune can add 15 or so. So that's a possibility of 25 extra hp added to your setup. If you went from a dig, the stall was probably the difference...autos are also idiot proof, the car might of still been new to him, highly unlikely since it was s/c but in reality some people just can't drive a stick.

It wasn't a statement... I was correcting someone for saying something that was clearly stupid: that chevy would "shut the cobra up" with it's Blue Devil and Z06. It clearly does not need to...
