I seen one that around here once, it was built and looked just like the one from back to the future, it was pretty cool but still slow, untill it hit 88mph...

You're kind of right. ALL were produced with the stainless body, but red paint (and only red) was a dealer option. Not many were made. Here's a pic from DMC Motors:

Theres a car show around here that I go to quite a bit, and on pretty much any given night you can go see like 10 Deloreans. I even got a ride in one a few months ago.

I saw one at Woodward last night, before I got pulled over by the biggest jerk of a cop I have ever met (and I used to have 13 pts. if any of you are familiar with Michigan's system that is a lot of big tickets, five to be exact in less than two years) and handed a ticket for "squeeling tires/ unnecessary noise." I know he spelled squealing wrong, so does the list of ticket costs printed on the back flap of the ticket printed by Ferndale Police Department. A state officer (who also was acting like a total jerk, wtf?!?) later on the cruise said the ticket was a four-point violation. I hope he was yanking my chain, I don't mind the $110 fine so much, that makes some sense but 4 points is more than careless driving and the same as drag racing, and that ticket can also be issued for engine revving and loud stereos, and getting four points for squealing tires or unnecessary noise is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! I'm fighting it for sure, wish me luck!!!

Lmao, its not a 4 point violation. I went to the dream cruise last year with my mustang, got caught squeeling tires/unsafe acceleration. I fought it and won, you dont have anything to worry about.

<<<<loves the delorean. its not a rocket, some people think its ugly. i think it looks awesome in its own weird way. it represents some of the craziness that was the 80s and a vision from a man who was thinking ahead. Delorean himself has actually stated that one of his biggest regrets was the engine used being a total dog and the car being made in a Ireland. the actual chassis of the car and the handling is quite good though. theres a few specialty shops that restore these cars and theres still new parts available for them and reproductions. these cars were sold at selected GM dealers by the way. for more info on the delorean dmc12 go to dmctalk.com
