Yes. Go for it. Just make sure that you have enought ground clearance. Otherwise if you hit a bump or something, you can break the motor that rotates the valve. Also, open and close it once ina while or carbon build up can make the valve get stuck in either the open or closed position.

If you have a good free flowing exhaust your wasting your money. If your stock then you will pick up a few HP. If you just want it for sound IMHO its way to loud (cop magnet). I would also go with non-electric cutouts wont have to worry about the motor crapping out.

I have to chime in on this one...
Depending on what kind of free flowing exhaust you have, if it's too loud, you're always going to be a target for the cops. I like the ability to close my cutout when cops are around (especially at night). The only time I've been pulled over for my car being "too loud" was 1 time when I forgot to close it and a cop was following me (a**hole). But in the daytime, I've never been harassed.

Mine worked for a couple years, then started leaking when closed (don't think they were ever intended to hermetically seal). Was fun but just uncap/cap mine manually now.

I love my McCord Powerplate. I had to replace my first one in 3 years. I am on my second one.
Its nice to be able to have a quiet exhaust when you roll by the police.

hell yeah. keith is from around my area and frequently tunes at a shop right next to my old job. he's pretty talented. and those cut outs are boss!
he may be one of the select few that can actually fool you into thinking a cam over 240 duration and over .600 lift is daily drivable. he's good.

They make a cutout that works off of a cable... Basically like using a choke.

My QTP fell appart in only a few months. I noticed it was leaking one day and it wouldnt close. After I got home and jacked the car up I saw the motor had fallen off the main body and the wire was ruined from dragging the ground.
This was on a car that was only driven to shows and special occasions also.

my qtp installed very easily and fits great. I installed it on a cutout that i had jet-hot coated. i love it b/c you can choose to run stealth, obnoxiously loud, or any where in between. It is on my cammed and LT garage queen and i activate about once a week for the last year or so and have not had a problem.
