***UPDATE*** The 10 bolt blew up tonight..
I'll find out the extent tomorrrow.. but I'm pretty sure the carrier went as the gears are only 6 months old.... <sigh>

All Black- 83, 87, 02 All WS6 T/As
Went to the track... its been 4 months or so... EVERYONE told me the clucnk I was hearing when I turned left COULDN'T be the rear, cause I have an auto and only running 12s.... well... ran a pathetic 12.7 (like I said, its been like 4 months), then got to the line, did my burnout, at the light, hit the gas like normal, it hiccuped and bogged... spun, caught.. then about the 330 BBAAAAANNNNNGGGGG!!!!! Chunk Chunk chunk chunk chunck.... coasted most of the return lane back.. anytime I turned the wheel ther was another BANG that shook the car... had 2 buddies follow me to a close by car buddy's house and parked it... (clunking the whole way) We'll open it up tomorrrow and see... it would be nice if its only the ring and pinion.. but I dont think so...
I don't have the money to get a 12 bolt right now..

How convienent is that? We are talking about you blowing your rear and you actually do. Like ATC said, your best bet is to rip a 10 bolt out of a donor fbody and use that until you get the cash for a 12 bolt. Originally Posted by KITTvsKARR

Yeah, thanks guys! lol. Anyway, ring and pinion are PERFECT.. and looks like the carrier is fine too.. its the left gear thats TRASHED... so I have a buddy that is letting me use his old rear (3.23 which will kinda suck) until mine is working again... maybe there is a rebuild kit for the auburn rear for those gears?

At least until early next year it looks like. Too many other bills to worry about.
Car isn't going anywhere though, so I am okay with it. I will trailer it to Bandimere once or twice in September/October and then park it.
