Didn't work tonight...maybe my e-brake doesn't work. I can't remember seeing the light come on saying it's engaged? Did this work for anyone else?

i like not having to turn the light on. like having power window. i never have to touch the light knob there fore in look new and never wear out. i like transam to but hate the way they look at night with the light up. i have see them get one eye stuck up look.

It's in most GM's...my truck has the auto lights. They probably didn't put it in the T/A's because of the flip ups...the lights would be going up and down a lot more causing faster wear on the gears/motors. Anyone know if C5's have them?

ya, if it's dark out, why would you want the lights off but the car on?

Lots of people do it for pictures, have you ever seen your car at dusk when it's not that dark yet with em on? Looks pretty damn sexy. And sometimes you just want em off, or when you are driving up to the gate of a base, it's best if you don't blind the guard. There's lots of reasons.

ya I suppose, I tried finding a way to turn them off too, just because you'd think you would be able to.

For me,...again...I prefer the look of my car with the headlight covers, the whole blacked out theme of my car actually, the windows, front indicator covers, rear tailight covers, the Carbon look emblem on the front bumper, yada yada yada..anyway, I'm getting off track here, I like the look of the headlights OFF and the running lights on, with just the driving lights on. You can't do that unless you have the ability to overide the headlights. I know it's a lot of work to do the dash stuff I posted, but like ANYTHING else we do to (for) our Babies, it's worth it in the end. If you indeed want to have control over the headlights. Other GM cars, like my wife's S10 truck have a overide button right next to the dash dimmer switch, why we didn't get one is beyond me.

It's a control issue. I like to control, not be controlled.
Also, when at a campground, drive in movie theater or similar, driving around with headlights on is considered poor etiquette. (For those who give a F about other people) Also, the Trans Am looks BADASS in this situation, I have done it with ours many times!

Yea I was going to put the control thing in there. Most men like that option...it's the same as traction control...you want to be in control not some computer deciding whether you can handle the car or not haha

Ok man, very easy... take out your stereo headunit. There is a blackbox mounted right behind it. Lift it up and out. You'll see a black and a blue harness connected on top. Disconnect the BLUE harness. Remount the box and put everything back together. You're done.

Mikesomething, is that to disable DRL, or to overide the headlights? Sorry if I'm asking you to repeat yourself, I'm late for work and don't have time to scroll.
