98.7 in a 55 by a statie on the pa TPK coming back from maryland... i was well over 140 prior to that...

Tickets said 124MPH. Which is about right. I was at the top of 4th gear.

I never speed, I'm the idiot in the slow lane in a SS Camaro doing the exact speed limit. I have always owned muscle cars, big block chevelles, camaros, dodge chargers and novas. Never had a speeding ticket in my life or been pulled over for speeding. (Knock on wood)

I got stopped twice flying past cops sitting on side streets, but they didn't get a read on me until I was down to the speed limit. One of them I was a bit over 90 in a 35 and the other one was about 70 in a 35. I got stopped for 50 in a 25 on another occasion. I got screamed at 3 times from cops for doing 40 in a 15 zone in a private parking lot. Every time I've only got warnings and that's all I want.

Going to be a good turnout There is interest on coloradof-body as well. Think I have a few buddys with some old school stuff showing up as well. My friend with a small block chevy porsche 914 might show as well. It's a cool car and very fast.

HA! i got all of you beat. i got an old 5 spd Military 5 Ton up to 65 in a 35. and the speedo stops at 55... well, the speedo didn't work that day. but.. my Sgt. was pretty pissed off that day.

I remember that.

What was really bad, was that there where two CSP in the center median, they took off after two of the lead cars in our pack, and the front CSP rear slid around, almost clipped an innocent driver, and the rear CSP almost nailed the first one!!!

I was so hoping they would hit, as I know whom they where after.

I was jumping on I-70 East bound from Colorado hwy 9 in Silverthorn, and I took off as soon as I got around the slow old lady in a PU.
I-70 is a nice hill for several miles going to Eisenhower Tunnel, and I was doing 90-95 (65), but once I got into the tunnel, it drops to 50, so I slowed to 60.
About half way through I noticed the CSP on my butt. As soon as we got out he lit me up.

He said he could not get me for speeding, as he could not catch up to pace me, and said he was "Doing well over 90"!!!!
So he gave me following to close.

I once passed a cop going 100mph, he was going ~95 on Highway I-25 in Wyoming coming back from Sturgis South Dakota on my way home to Colorado
It was around 9pm, and I kept looking ahead and see the taillights in front of me getting smaller and smaller.
I was in a hurry to get home, and I figure if I keep close to this guys, he was going to be pulled over first, in case there was a cop ahead. Well, I'm driving my 96 Z28, and as I get closer I see it's a brown Suburban, he keeps punching it, and then I decided to pass him, I go over 100mph to pass him. Out of the corner of my eye I see a big decal on the driver's side door "Wyoming or Cheyenne Sheriff"

all I did was finishing passsing the cop, and sure enough, here comes the lights! I cleared him, got in front of him, and it must've taking me about a mile to safely slow down and allow him to slow down as well
He comes to my window, and asks me for my registration, no license, no proof of insurance, he just wanted my registration. A couple of minutes later he comes back, and askes me if my car has cruise control. I said yes. He then says: "make sure you set it at 75mph (speed limit) It took me a couple of seconds to hold back, and bite my tongue, as I was ready to reply if his cruise control wasn't working

But, it was good enough to have gotten no ticket in the first place, so that was good

....And, that has NOT been the fastest I've been clocked out, though

135mph on interstate from bama. radar detector went crazy, but no popo showed. this was a year before my infamous 59 on a 35, which being exactly 24 over and me being under 21 lost me my license. blah.
