KYB Shocks - any good?
Everyone always mentions Koni Shocks but I was just wondering how good the Adjustable KYB Shocks are. Anyone have these? Thanks

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
they have a potential for breaking-not like malfunctioning, but actually coming apart. It seems to be hit n miss with various member feedback.

If your going auto crossing it's going to depend on how serious you want to get. A set of Koni double adjustables is what a lot of guys run. Revalved Bilsten's are popular too. At the mid divisional and national level they can get pretty elaborate with valving.
The Single Adjustable Hal's on all four or a regular set of Bilsten's are a good mid cost solution.
I have Koni Double adjustables of the front and the hal aluminum on the rear. Have you bought race tires and a spare set of wheels yet?
Koni Double adjustables turned nearly all the way down are still a lot stiffer than the stock de carbon units.

I got KYB adjustables on mine set to kill full time and travel on uneven backroads daily. Been 2 years no problems.

If you want to get serious about autocrossing....and I mean compete at the national level......then it's Koni Double Adjustables.......you can go thru all the top SCCA competitors use them......but if you're tinkering around at the local level and such....KYB's aren't bad for the buck......I used to autocross years ago and started with them.....they were fine.....and for the record....haven't heard of any just falling apart....not saying that it can't happen but never heard of it...
