Machine Silver Metallic- 2005 Corvette
What's a good price for a '05 vette?
http://autos.yahoo.com/usedcars/deta...1Db3J2ZXR0ZQ--
I found an '05 in Tallahassee but think they may be a bit high($42,500). I drove it and it seems good, but am not sure. What do I need to look for and what's a good price?
Thanks...

What time package? 1LT? 2LT? 3LT?
Check out corvetteforum to see how the '05's are doing price wise. I think it's high to be honest.-98 GTP Coupe. Silvermist and stock.

Hmmm, that's pretty loaded then.
I'd still check out the price of other '05's and go from there.

I paid less for my new 07 Automatic. Mine is only a 1LT but sure prefer new over used. Do you plan to drag race? A 1LT has everything you need except a Z51 rear sway bar and Z06 shocks for traction.

No, not planning on racing. I want all the extra features(like the HUD) as this will be my daily driver. The wife has given the green light so hopefully, I'll find something I like soon. Nice car by the way, that's the color I want.

3Lt is $4945 more than a 1LT. I paid $41995 for mine so new would be $46940.00 if you find the same deal I found. I would definitely pay $4440 more for two years newer and brand new.

I called back and told him I would consider if he dropped to 35K. He said he would talk to his manager and call me back. I'm with you though, if I can get an 07 for the kind of price you talked about, then I'd rather have a new car as well.

That $4440 is without any additional discount for the 3LT package too. Might even be able to get some off of that.
Here's where I bought mine: http://www.lewischevrolet.com/en_US/ You deal directly with the owner. Great guy to work with. A little far from you but even with freight might be worth a try.

Well, I got the '05 vette. I talked them down to 36,000 and they gave me a good price for my 02 trans am. It sure does drive a lot better than the trans am did.

Wow, I guess I got a good deal. It’s been a week now and I'm enjoying my C6 immensely.

I can't figure out how to post a pic. I'll mess with it this weekend. All my pics are too big according to the size limits. Anyway, its an automatic, w/ HUD, XM, polished wheels, etc. Pretty much loaded w/ 16,000 miles and 36K out the door. I think the tires are brand new as well. The ride is much smoother than the T/A. It felt like I was riding in a fighter when I drove it and not in a good way. In other words it gave me a workout. The vette is a lot more refined but with more performance and ammenities. The seats are more comfortable, the HUD is something that I can't live without now. I wish every car had this feature. The acceleration in the T/A was great, but the vette is even better. I never thought I would own a corvette and I'm kicking myself for not driving and buying one sooner. There is a big difference between the T/A and a corvette.
