dude the car can't possibly be worth 4k...i gave up mine even though the salvage cost was 1200 (i just don't have the time to part it out)

i'd personally settle with the guys at the junkyard, cuz you'll legally owe them for storage, and it's up to them on how much they'll want to charge you on it.

Call up the local police station and find out if it is legal for them to remove the car from the lot without your permission. Also show you have the title for it and want the car back...however lets be serious its at a junyard have you or anyone else seen it? Parts are sure to be "stolen" or missing and you may end up just be fighting over a shell.

Have someone go check the car out then go from there with the police or a lawyer.

can you take them to small claims court, or would that be more pain and trouble than what it's worth?
