Ugh filled up 3 times in 8 days. help
Man gas is killing me now. I have had to completly fill up my 98 ta 3 times in the past 8 days. im getting about 215 or so miles per tank. around 16.5 mpg. I do get on it alot. I have a check engine light on right now. i think it read something about a o2 sensor before the cattilac converter. do yal think it might be running rich and thats why my mpg is bad? think something is wrong or just bad driving habits?

helll ya and always make sure your tire pressure is correct and air filter is clean. Get the O2 sensor fixed messes with your fuel curve.

A bad 02 sensor before the cat can definitely affect fuel mileage. Stop by some place like auto zone, they'll read and code(s) free.

4 anybody not just LS177. Front o2's are very important IMO for street car that isn't always at WOT. A good tune will give you max performance out of your setup, but front o2's are there as a final check for the pcm and to compensate for wear and tear on engine components both electrical and mechanical. Yes, an OBDII car such as this will stay in open loop without feedback from those o2's (it's the Cali Smog Tech in me talkin'). Not good for MPG. Just my .02
