Eh I dont know. To sue, you would have to go to the hospital and pay some bills. Right now, what are you sueing for? Pain and suffering? Its a pain to sue.

I dont know how big you are, but you couldve grabbed her and thrown her or something. Keys in the hand? I mean, jesus. Was that deliberate or accidental?

You dont have to hit her, but damn, learn some passive defense.

I was thinking mental anguish and pain and suffering. Who can you trust if a friend of that long does something like that. I should have thrown her down but then I most likely would have gone to jail with her, men get fucked way too much when it comes to situations like that. After the first punch, I would have let her drive and say fuck it, I don't think she would have made it honestly far enough to hit someone else but you never know. But the kicker was one of my friends was in her car and I wasn't about to let her risk his life while he is passed out.

well she was drunk ( it does not make that okay) and u been friends for 13 years. see if she will pay for any damages and make amends. if not as a last resort go to court which will take forever

I say sue here.... but if you don't, atleast get a restraining order or something. Not even for protection, just to make a point.

I agree with the "I was drunk" being a shitty excuse.... If you have to use that as an excuse, you shouldn't be drinking in the first place.

I would leave it alone. She knows she F'ed up royally and lost a good friend who cares for her. I am glad to hear that you didn't hit her or tried to restrain her. Because one mark on her and you go to jail too. Not worth the hassle. Good on you for being a gentleman. The laws in this respect suck! You lay a hand on her and you're done!

If she tries to hassle you in any way, just get a restraining order. You'll never sue her (unless in small claims) because no attorney will spend time to pursue a small payoff like that on contingency...unless you have a lot of money you just want to tie up for the next 2-3 years. Plus, you have to have proof of injury, hospital ER bills, aftercare followup, etc...loss of work hours, yada...yada...yada. And even a small claims judgment is hard to enforce and may take you a long time to collect if she is a deadbeat.

Just not worth it if you ask me. Leave it be and move on to bigger and better things. Use the time, money, and effort you would have spent pursuing her to mod your ride. Phoque it.

Really its not like she is a full grown man pinning him against his car outwieghing him by 200 pounds. It would take alot of will power for me to let a female punch me like that, but in this case he won. He did not touch her she went to jail over it he can press assualt charges and make some cash.

Hitting her back...well in this case two wrongs do not make a right and you end up going to jail in the end.

You did the right thing by refraining the tap to her teeth. Sounds like real psycho bitch. Probably lucky she didn't hurt herself and blame you when the popo got there. That would have assured you a trip to county. Yes, even if your innocent. Steer clear of her. She's got a vendetta against you now as it is. What are you gonna gain by suing her ass off and is it really worth carrying on? Chalk it up to a brush with a crazy bitch. We've all had them or will sooner or later.

It is probably better to simply move on unless you have some sort of long lasting and expensive medical condition as a result of her beating on you. She sounds like either a drunk or a crazy drunk, and neither personality is one that I would choose to have any further communications with in your situation.

Now if you needed plastic surgery to re-install a cheek bone or something that would be different, but from the sounds of it she just want ape and bruised you up a bit so i'd let is go and simply not have any further contact with her. You did the best thing that you could, saved her butt, and by calling the cops you kept her from risking her life and the lives of other people and perhaps, just perhaps, someday she may look back on what you did with gratitude if she ever decides to clean up her act and become a normal person.

In any case, you took the "high road", and did the honorable thing.

forget sueing her. if she got arrested, press the charges that are pending against her and go to trial. shit if she was hauled off in both handcuffs and shackles this woman is messed up. take pics of your face, glasses, etc for evidence. you have witnesses on your side. let her be found guilty, pay a fine, possible jail time, possible AA meetings, possible diversion, etc. that's the best way for her to learn her lesson...

in the meantime, stay clear of PSYCHO BITCH!!!
