    Car seats in front seat of a full size truck, Legal?

    I have to pick my kids up today in my truck but I haven't checked to see if it is legal to have a forward facing car seat in the front of a regular cab truck. Both of my kids are in forward facing seats, my son is three and my daughter is two years old. I have seat belts to tie them down. Has anyone used a car seat in the front of a truck and is it legal? I don't see any safety issue as long as their strapped in good. My truck is a 85 model Silverado. Thanks!

    i drive with one in my truck thats forward facing and as long as the kid is over a certain weight 20 lbs or so , its legal
