mine sounds NOTHING like either of those, but my catback is almost setup like a loudmouth. it started off as a corsa catback, but the muffler started to rattle so i yanked it and fabbed up a y pipe in it's place, put the magnaflow in the y pipe so it's complete 3 inch the whole way still. when i first started it up it sounded almost like it did with the stock manifolds at idle, but as soon as you hit the gas it sounds like something pissed it the f*ck off and it wants everyone to know it. i know, i know, you want a soundclip/video, haha. it's supposed to warm up a little bit later this week so hopefull i'll get this pig out of the garage.

Do it!
See, that's the beauty of Magnaflow. The kit is quiet at low RPM's so you can have a conversation in your car at cruising speed, but it will really sing when you stomp the long pedal. Taking into consideration the stainless steel construction and non-restrictive design, it's the best of both worlds.
I almost feel bad when I pass people with their windows down with my setup. I could only imagine yours! The clips I made aren't the best though, it seems like the car is actually so much louder in person. On my video I tried to film from a few feet back so the mic wouldn't get overpowered and you guys could actually hear the exhaust note somewhat. Maybe I'll make a couple other clips this week, weather permitting.

LT's on a stock exhaust are going to be MUCH louder. There is no way in hell it could possibly sound the same.

here's some pics. i have a few videos, but they're not accurate because i had a gaping hole in the i pipe where it goes over the axle because the hanger broke off of the damn pipe. keep in mind that my car is on sportlines, making the clearance worse. it's still no lower than the stock y pipe was though. i've gone places that i've scraped with the stock stuff on and scraped, without scraping now actually. you can adjust the hell out of the y pipe on this because of the type of flanges on the collectors and the y pipe is in 3 pieces. i've adjusted it up even higher since the pics and just did the heater hose bumper on the y pipe in 1 place so that it tucks up as far as possible.

here's the vids just for the hell of it. it doesn't have the rasp or sputter to it now that that giant 1 x 2 inch hole is plugged up.
this one was the first time it had been out of the garage for a few weeks

this one sounds like doodoo with the revs. you can hear the sputtering from the hole when i let off. all of that and most of the rasp went away once i fixed it.

i'll get better ones tomorrow hopefully

my catback WAS a corsa. the muffler started to rattle, so i yanked it, fabbed up a y pipe in it's place, and put a magnaflow in the i pipe, so i guess it would be like a magnamouth. it sounds 10 times better now that it's all sealed up and it's tuned. feels way stronger too, although i did just install a 3400 stall so it is probably adding to it some.

My exhaust guy actually ordered them himself and billed me later, they look like they are about a foot long. You will of course have to tune out the sensors since this kit has an ORY. Look around, you can probably find a good deal. I paid like $60.00 to get mine in on short notice.

new clip from the track. the sound isn't 100% accurate, but it' close. it's actually deeper sounding that the camera makes it sound.

anyone had any dyno tuning before/after or track times to judge the design? i've heard pretty much all LT headers on ls1 dyno the same about but would be good to see anyway
i'm really interested in getting these, will have to weld some catalytic converters in since i live in CA but these look great!
