Cali smog is strict. If you bring in a car from out of state you have to smog it for cali registration. After that the bi-annual smog tests only apply in large populated cities and counties. The small cities and counties don't have to smog again. There is a map somewhere (I'm too lazy to search for it) that shows which counties require bi-annual smogs and which don't.

so in other words, once i got it past the smog, and if i wasnt in an area that required it to be tested again....off come the cats...on go the dumps and i can run my 408/monstrous cam and be happy once more??
