But your breaking distance and cornering ability really sucks with summer tires in the front. I used to do that all the time, and never had much problems, but when I tried out snow tires on all 4's it was like I put 4x4 in the car and could stop in hard pack snow like it was 80 degrees out and only wet roads. After that I was like WTF was I thinking before.

i will admit the 'fun factor' one time was getting 8" of snow in Kansas City one winter, and had Summito HTRZ II's on all 4 corners on my old 95 z28. only thing that kept me from getting stuck was my ASR, and 120 lbs of sand in the back. those tires were not designed for that weather. however my car was so low and the snow so deep, that i was basically a snow plow with my front end...

got to and from work that day 3 each way in about 40 minutes traffic was so slow...

once those tires were shot i invested in a set of Perilli P Zero Neo M+S and those are great times, all around, but then again they are high performance all season tires...ZR rated 275/40/17...

Seeing I am modding my car I couldn't take it to it's full potential with all seasons so I thought going with 2 full sets will allow me to have fun in the winter without slipping all over the road. When I drive my wife's fwd car with all seasons in the sub zero weather it will slide like crazy where my T/A sticks like glue. I figured if I put all seasons on it during the summer it will make adding better sway bars almost pointless. I'm bad at compromising when it comes to performance though.
