Yes 8 stock coils and platinum plugs

Plugs normally cost about $20, Wires cost about $60. Not sure what stock coils cost. MSD's (highly overrated) cost about $580.

A measured distance is known. The LEO starts and stops it (VASCAR) based on the distance traveled. It computes an average speed to the tenth of mph (79.4 mph for example).

Hard to dispute because it is based on fundemental mathematics. The biggest issue is an accurate distance being set.

It can be ANYTHING. a mile marker, painted lines, overpasses. It's the new version of the old whammy bars (you run over it, it makes noise, then you run over a second one further down the road).

VASCAR minimizes sudden bursts of speed since it averages the speed over a distance (say a quarter mile). It really is a fair system.
