Whats under the cargo area?

Alright, in the 98-02 T/As, and I guess the camaros as well, there is the spot to put the t-tops. I've heard of a few people cutting out the area infront of that and dropping subs in there. my question is what is under it? It is the part that the flap that covers up the t-top area folds down...let mek now if I'm not being clear.

i think you are talking about the gas tank housing.

There is very little room for anything there because of the gas tank. I've seen ppl put subs in the "flap" thing however. Or just put a box in the area where the t-tops go. Myself-I like having a place to put the t-tops.

Like everyone else said, likely to be the gas tank. Don't know how you'd cut that out to put subs in. Alternatively, you could do like was done here:

Same here. Having a kick ass stereo system is cool and everything, but I'd rather put that money into the car itself and hear it roar rather than the music.
