Intake manifold

Are there any concerns as far as painting the intake manifold? I wouldn't think that it would matter but you never know. Anyone ever done it? I know I can't powder coat it cause it's not metal but do i even need to use high temp paint?

I painted mine w/hi-temp gloss black. Came out great, nice & shiny. Not sure if you even need hi-temp or not, probably not, but I used it just to be safe.

Painted mine with hi-temp black gloss paint. Looks great. Will be installing it soon. Be carefull when masking holes for bolts and other crucial openings.

i want to do the same thing. was it hard to get the intake off?

it's a pain in the ass, trust me. Only the front 6 bolts come all the way out, the back 4 you have to unscrew but leave in b/c the windshield is RIGHT THERE. You'll have to disconnect the gas lines/other hoses in the front/back and dont' move it too fast b/c the oil pressure sending unit is behind it on the drivers side and it'll break if you're not careful.
