Just bought my Mac.
Yep, just picked it up today. 250 g hard drive, 1 GB ram, 2.16 intel core duo processor. 20 inch screen, and a cool camera in the monitor. I love this thing. Paid 1600 bucks. damn right.

Thinking about getting a dell xps 410..seems like a good system. With tax and everything I can get it for 2k with a intel duo core 2.4ghz, nividia 7950 gx2 card...but I had to cut down the ram to 1gig to get that price Damn video card alone is like 500 bucks.
How do you like your dell so far..any probs with it? The sony i'm on right now has lasted 5 years but it's slower then dogshit, hoping a dell can do the same.

I don't like to pay an extra $800 bucks for a brand name. Actually, I guess what you're paying extra for is the tech support, but I don't need that either.

Disregard Ed's post... Mac are known for their 3D rendering ability. As most surpass IBM compatibles... And the fact you have a duo CPU, basically leaves you in the top 3 or 4 CPU's available on the market.
You'll be happy with it.
I myself am rebuilding my comp, using the E6700 Core 2 from Intel. (Although I would prefer the E6800 extreme, I just can't dish out $1200 for the cpu lol yet.) w/SLI 2 x BFG Geforce 7950's and Raid-0 or 1 Sata II dual 150GB HD's @10,000 rpm (WD Raptor X's) OCZ 1GB DDR2.
Currently, using a custom built P4 3.2ghz 1024MB DDR2, dual core 6600 GT SLI video card.
The upgrade should increase my performance by 40-50%.
At least that's what I'm hoping for.
