Generally grown ups can quote someone else and not name calling during a debate. BTW if you don't like being called out then you shouldn't post on an online forum.

first off stock cobras didnt become a dangerous race until 03-04 when S/C where added to the power plant.
With that being said whats does "built cobra mean?" to me a built car has:
aftermarket internal
a cage
a poweradder
runs faster then 10s
which yeah your stock 00 z28 would not touch it.
a 95 cobra makes about 240 hp stock! With bolt-ons like most (supposed built cars/street racers) the car might touch 290.
your car being a 00 z28 must be a 6 speed too (your post), stock makes about 290-305 also. Some 00 f-bodys have dynoed lower too.
So yeah its a drivers race..... now if the mustang has internals or poweradders, sorry you would lose, because of you being stock. Your lack of of a ls6 intake hurts throughout the entire power spectrum.
Now for the SRT4. Assuming this is a stock srt4 neon, again its a drivers. Let it be from a roll or a dig, yes you should win this race but because of your car being stock it could be tough.
You mentioned the SRT4 started in 2nd gear and you started in 3rd gear, what speed where you rolling from?
I ask this because with with 6 speed ls1 we can take 1st up to 48mph, which means 3rd gear at lets say 40mph, would get spanked by an srt4 in 2nd gear at 40mph, because the SRT4 is in its powercurve and the ls1 is not.
you ended the race at 140mph, what gear where you in?
With you claims to be a knowledgable track racer:
do you double clutch, powershift or both?
also do you slip the clutch or dump the clutch when launching?
finally, your pissing match with Transamprincess.
I have known her for a long time, and I know she backs up what she says, with both earned knowledge and track proof.
So be very carefull picking a fight with her!Last edited by ibanez7; 10-27-2006 at 07:07 AM.

lol "double clutch" it's a Camaro, not a semi! double clutching is not what most people (mostly wanna be hardcore racers, maybe even some of the pros) want it to be these days. if you understood where the term "double clutching" came from, and the improvements that manual trannies have seen over the last 100 years, i think you'd have not used "double clutch." it'd probably be more accurate to say, "rev matching" since, who, in a race would want to wait for the RPM to drop just to shift to the next gear? it's all gas & feathering now. but hey I like F&F too!
now, please, everyone re-read and understand what i wrote in this post before hitting that reply or quote button.
(i truly do like F&F)

DUDE, that I know the term double clutching I was asking the question to see how dangerouscurves would answer..
a questions about doubleclutching vs. powershifting seperates fast and furious posers from real racers.
Thanks for blowing that one!!!!! DAMN!!!!
oh btw Fast and furious was gay!
