What's the difference between a firehawk and Camaro SS?

The SS is a camaro
A firehawk is really in a league of it's own...at least for collector value anyway. A SS is more in the WS6 range IMO.

yea, that's kinda what I think, but don't some of them come with quite a bit more power? I saw one once that had fatter wheels on back and they looked stock, I wonder why it would get wheels like that

Sunset Orange Metallic- 2002 Camaro SS
None. Both were special order alterations from SLP. The Firehawk (as well as most Firebirds) feature a few more options than the Camaro bc Pontiac tried to make Firebird a bit more upscale than the Camaro. Examples include power lumbar front seats, flip up headlamp covers, and standard rear quarter power telescoping antenna. The power team and chassis were identical, except that Firehawk featured the better flowing catback as standard, whereas it was an option on the Camaro.
Technically, one will not be worth more than the other; However, since the Firehawk was produced in significantly fewer numbers, it could have the potential of gaining a higher collector's value. This is a big unknown, because it all will factor in how its perceived with automotive fans and critics.

ha ha. Thank God for those luxurious flip-up headlights! The other day I saw one and thought it was a Maserati!
Wasn't the Firehawk like 3k more expensive than a WS6? Either way, they're certainly worth more now, like said above, dominantly because of decreased production numbers. I once heard that the Firehawk was the Formula's replacement, is that possible? All I know is that I want a GMMG Blackbird...She's baaaaaccccck...

I'm not sure about the Camaro but the Firehawks were all numbered cars. I had a 96 for about 5 months.# 38 of 41 cars. Still have the ashtray # plate.

One difference, in my understanding is..All Firehawks went to SLP, in the last couple years, the SS's stayed at chevy and they made them there. Also the numbers are significantly lower builds for the Hawks. My .02 cents.
