Ls1 vs Lt4 conversion
I ran into this guy in town that has a 96 Formula, he says he has the lt4 conversion and claims he can "smoke" me in my LS1 T/A. He is also claiming 405HP with just the Lt4 conversion (sounds a little optimistic). Will he take me or is he blowing smoke?

yeah he should take you that kit baically makes the standard lt1 and turns it into the zo6 engine although is is an expensive bolt on he would have been better off with forced induction remember the ls1 was 305hp or 325hp ram air but if the guy spins you win get some drag radials and give him a good run

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
if you're all stock, he's probably gonna own you. I don't know much about the lt4, but I've seen what a well breathing, tuned lt1 can do and it hangs with minor bolt-on ls1's.

What is up With everyone on this board asking if "this car or that car will beat me"??? What happened to goin' out and runnin'? I've beat many cars that had more HP than me. Does anyone have confidence in their driving ability, or the lack thereof by their opponent??? It's kinda like worrying that some chic will turn you down if you ask her out. It's a true wonder some of you have ever been laid with this kind of timid attitude....

Radar Blue- 1998 Corvette
I went from a 96 Lt4 Vette to a 98 LS1 Vette, both cars had the 3.42 gears and 6 sp. With a dash mounted g-tech the times were to close to call.
Driver skills could have made either car a winner .
If he went to all the expense of the conversion maybe he did a a couple items like high flow cats/or no cats, better exhaust, roller rockers, ect.
Sounds like a good race to me.
Please let us know the results.
