I have a Yank Y3000 2.0 STR, and it is very streetable.
If I had to do it all over again I would go with a 3500 stall.

Vig 2800 is very streetable. But I would get a higher stall than that like a 3200.
I run a Vig 3200 but plan on restalling to 3600Black 1999 Blown Convertible A4

I have a 3200 Vigilante and love it. My stock 98 TA went .4 sec quicker after the converter install. The only other mod is a lid.

I have a fuddle 3200 and love it. I also would go a little bit bigger though, if I had the opportunity. I barely even noticed a change when daily driving, unless of course your foot gets heavy off the line.

I don't know too much about stall converters.. so a few questions...
would the car top speed be lower after installing a stall converter? also I don't want to drive 60 @3000rpm and feel like I'm racing. I use my TA A4 as a daily driver, at least for the next 1.5 years I think. After I throw in a supercharger+aftercooler I'll abuse it every now and then (weekends/track).

The converter will lock up at 45 mph and drive just like stock on the freeway.

I have a fuddle 3500 with 3.73 gears in the rear. I personally wouldn't want less than a 3500 but that's JMO.

what about gears? what gears are good for a daily driver? i heard 3.43's are good as well as 3.73's- i dont think id go higher than 3.73 becuase i dont want to burn too much fuel, unless im wrong
im still figuring out the convertor and gear stuff

Not sure why they say a stall drives like stock. It slips as one would expect below the rpm of the stall. It does put you into the powerband quicker. But expect fuel economy to drop and take more gas (and rpms) to get going from a stop. But getting into the powerband immediately is awesome. Just personal experience, your mileage may vary.
