how serious is PS leak?
Hey guys--another 'rookie' question... I noticed about a year ago while under my car that there appeared to be a leak around a fitting at my stearing rack, and had it checked out to find it was a high-pressure line leak and that my pinion seal was also leaking. the dealer made it sound like this was going to eventually just blow apart and break other things in the process...and quoted me around 300 to fix it... Not relatively that much I guess (just rebuilt auto tranny
); but since i've only had to fill A LITTLE fluid once in the last year, i haven't worried too much about it. should i be more worried???

I personally would just spend the $300 bucks. If could "blow" at any point. Of course you would loose you're power steering if that happened, but you would also run the risk of burning up you pump if you loose all your fluid.
