BBK Power-Less!
i need to know if anyone knows whats up with these things. i got one a while back and put it on. it said to slot out the TPS to get the correct stock voltage (.58). i ended up getting it right, the problem is everytime i nailed the throttle it would set the TPS back outta whack and the SES light would come on. then the car wouldnt shift till around 5500 rpm! does anyone know how to install these things without problems? i've been trying to sell the thing, but i've been wanting to use it again. i only used it for a day and a half.

see you made it over here from our other site we hang out on. sounds to me like once you go WOT, the TPS lever doesn't travel as far as the TB blade. so, it pulls the sensor out of position. what you need to check is just that. by hand, turn the TB lever and watch to see if the TPS bottoms out before the TB stop does. if so, then you need to modifty the TB stop lever to match the TPS. also, need to see that the TB blade isn't going past 90* full open.

Actually most near stock cars will benefit from a larger throttle body. However a ported stock TB will work just as good as a BBK TB, if not better. Additionally, the BBKs are known for causing driveability problems. And they only get worse with more mods. Tuners nightmare...
