It was hard. We felt like crap but now he is ok with it and he'll never be responsible for a crash or worse, never have to avoid making the wrong decision in a crisis while traveling on these fast California highways.

Anyways, sorry for the loss. Who do you use for insurance ?, hope you get the claim done quick.
Fairly loose with the "facts" aren't we
The study found that drivers between 18 and 20 were four times as likely to have inattention-related crashes and near-crashes as drivers over 35.
    From CNN Study.... http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/04/20/dri...udy/index.html
A real fact is drivers over 55 drive more safe miles than drivers under 55.

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

wow...considering how heavy a cadillac is, and that our cars are basically fiberglass and some metal-your car sure took the impact well! Sorry to hear about it.

She decided she had enough time to turn in front of me when I was in the cross walk before the intersection. I get on my breaks and turn hard right to try to avoid a head on collision. But to my dismay I am going to fast to stop within 5 feet. She and I collide and both my airbags deploy. My engine stops and I turn the key back as far as I can (later I find the ignition is fucked so my car wasn't off completely). I get out of my car and proceed to yell and the Cadillac (the driver was still inside the car) "YOU FUCKING BITCH! WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO!!!" Then I called the police and my mom... no one was hurt... other than some nice airbag bruises and burns for me along with some nasty headache that won't stop. But yeah... car is totaled... once I get an insurance guy out to look at it I plan to try to part it out as much as possible. I leave you with some pictures of what my car now looks like...

oh hun that sucks, I'm sorry to hear about your car. I'm sure everything will work out and you will get another.

As far as old people driving, yeah once you reach a certain age you should be tested every year for your license. Even here in chicago they suck just as bad.

I had a brand new gt mustang. On my way home from work 1 week after I bought it, a 85 year old women blew a stop sign and t-boned me and totalled it on the spot. I got out, asked her if she was ok. Accidents happen, that is why we have insurance. There is no need to get out and call anyone names unless they did it on purpose.

most of that is true to a point, but MOST CAR ACCIDENTS ARE ACTUALLY CAR CRASHES, caused by:

    peoples stupidity
    peoples carelessness
    people in a hurry
    people not paying attention
    people intoxicated
people driving beyond their ability, cars ability and road ability
people not following the highway transportation system

Those reasons listed above, DO NOT CREATE ACCIDENTS, they create CRASHES so yeah the innocent person has a valid excuse to bitch out the person who caused the crash.

Accident is just a nice comforting way to allow idiots to not be accountable for poor drving. Yeah the crash may not be intentional but it should be accountable and no excusable.

Honestly if people follow the highway transportation system, a car crash might actually just be an accident.

Who said Sarge was old? It goes like this older folks cause accidents while younger people cause crashes.

55 is young -they didn't classify age 55 as a danger.
