replacing the fuel pump
I have a 98 T/A. is there a template for where to cut the floor pan for access without taking the tank out? and also, I see in summit racing they have a granetelli motorsports replacement fuel pump for 98 f body with LS based engine, it is only the pump for $90.00. is this right? all other places I have checked are in the 400.00 range and come as a pump/sending unit assy. I work at a pontiac dealer and our parts does not list the pump by itself. David

Check out Harris Speedworks ( sponsor here) and get a racetronix kit. I *think* they're in the $249 range. If you only take one persons advice today take mine and get a racetronix kit.

I have heard reports of sending units failing after replacing the pump alone, any truth to this or is it just rumors? I will go with you're recommendation but i don't want guage problems as a result. i assume many people on this site have used this pump.

Black- 1998 Formula WS.6
I had to replace the fuel pump in my 98 WS.6 in January I went with the Racetronix Fuel pump form Thunder Racing. Pump just plugs right in Plug and Play nothing to worry about just liek using an OEM but alot better pump.

hope this helps you out.
