the 7-bolt motor in the 92.5 and up models is NOTORIOUS for that problem
the 6-bolt version before those years never experienced that problem, amazing engine overall all i ever did to it was blow a gasket once from overboosting on a bad tune...my fault... drivetrain was a dif story though... great lil 2.0L powerplant

Black- '05 Ninja ZX-10R
Yeah, I thought about one of the 1st gen dsms too. But they're just so damn ugly... and I thought a 2nd gen after purchase price and mods would cost about as much as a used ls1 anyway and not be faster and still have potential problems with crankwalk, so it seemed like an ls1 would be the best buy. But it's been like a year and half of trying to save for an ls1, but I kept blowing the money and ended with bikes, which are a lot cheaper. Maybe I'll get an ls1 when they drop down to like 6k?

My Kid had a 92TSI we did some mods to; bigger turbo, port job, boost controller, intake, exhaust, etc. The bitch was fast, until it broke the timing belt.........and self destructed

Pewter- 2001 Camaro Z28 M6
AWD boosted cars do launch fast and do a great job of holding the HP peak through out the rpms.

Does Got Boost? qualify for a "troll of the year" nomination? I'll put in the first vote.
