Save money. Get better headers.
Don't get SLP.
The difference is in the emissions fittings.2008 Trailblazer SS

With stock ls1 intake, stock pulley, only mods being a 12 bolt rear end, SLP LT headers, exhaust and an fm14 cam.. my car went 11.6 @ 117 full weight 6spd. If that is not performing I do not know what is.
A lot of times you will find here on the internet... people just speak of what they have heard and not of what they have tried.

Don't know the difference. Call SLP and ask them. 732.349.2109

I had the SLP headers.
I now have Kooks.
Same price brand new, and the Kooks are SO much better quality.
Yes, the SLP headers will give you the same power gains as any other header. But I scraped them with stock ride height. Numerous times.
I am yet to scrape my Kooks and I am lowered now.

Thank You for admitting the SLP headers are just as good performance wise as the other brands of headers. You have made many posts so I hope this post is respected as much as the ones that disrespect SLP

They hang low, scrape over speedbumps, rust out.
Plus, if you have a problem, SLP will NOT help you out. I believe they have said "F it" to customer service.
I have had a very bad experience with SLP. I was a good standing customer that had spent plenty of $$ with them.
I bought one part that I never got to use. They did NOTHING to help me out with it. Wasn't so much the $175 I was out...it was the way they handled me. The guy I talked to was an ass. Plain and simple. It was my fault no matter what. Funny...I never even got to use this part. Hell...still sitting in my garage.

I agree slp's do scrape even on a stock height camaro and god forbid you have a lowered car. I would say the power gains are about the same just the whole scraping issue.
I would call slp to find out the differences

I already mentioned the differences between the kits.
It is emissions fittings.
Get the headers for your year.
98-00 have both AIR and EGR. Headers will have fittings for both.
01-02 have a slightly different set-up minus the EGR. That kit is fitted for those emissions set-ups.

The only complaint I have about the SLP LTs is clearance. Other than that, they are good.

Seen too many customer service compliants and too many rusted and hanging SLP issues. I'm prob going to ditch my current exhaust and go with stainless Kooks or Hooker LT's. May go with ceramic coated ... like the look. I have ported MAC 3/4 length's with catted Y and true duals dumped.

Look at my profile pic, you see that little hump in the driveway? Everytime I go across it, it scrapes, I have to back in at an angle EVERY gotdamn time, just so it won't scrape BAD. That sh*t gets old quick.Last edited by Roastem; 06-15-2006 at 03:04 AM.

BLACK- 1998 TRANS AM
I've had SLPs for 2 years. Picked up 24 rwhp with a tune. They still look new; no rust. I got them, including cats, install kit, y-pie and RT cats for $860 including shipping on sale.
Yes, they hang low and I've scraped them several times on speedbumps, etc.
No big deal though.
Car got loud as hell at WOT after the header install.I have an RT catback.
My wife can hear me coming a mile away. With the windows in the house closed.
